SYNOPSIS FROM GOODREADS
The Rehabilitation of Master Dillon is a prequel to Take My Hand
Master Dillon was the most famous Dom in the world of cinematic pornography until accusations by his ex-sub and girlfriend threatened the career he loved.
In an effort to gain control over his life, Dillon begins seeing the new psychologist, Calla Jones, at The Cage. Dr Jones gives him some steps he needs to complete to rebuild his Dominance. Unfortunately, his old sub still has plans for him.
Will Dillon learn to be the Dom he once was? Or will his ex-sub succeed in tearing down Dillon’s life and destroying the very essence of what makes him a man? Find out in The Rehabilitation of Master Dillon, a prequel novella to Take My Hand.
This book couldn’t have been better titled.
Master Dillon needed some therapy and Calla, the resident therapist of the Club he goes to regularly, gives him a run for his time with the set of steps she advice him to take. She can’t force him to do them but she strongly advice him to do so. And he did.
I love that this book was center on one characters and his development. The experiences he had following Calla’s steps where eye-opening for Master Dillon and necessary to his recovery.
Never in my life I’ve read, so far, a book that can pull what P. Nelson did with this prequel. Specially with a short novella like this one.
The Rehabilitation of Master Dillon showed a side that people need to see, at least in fiction, about the BDSM lifestyle that not everyone grasp. The Master is a person that is susceptible to hurt just like the submissive, and that damage done to a Dominant can have repercussions.
Books that portrait strong characters with flaws are my favorite type of books of all times. Master Dillon was strong, confident and his session dealing with the sexual side of his recovery are just off the chart scorching.
I feel like I have to inform you that this was a prequel in The Doms of the Cage series. It has some romance in it but doesn’t feature a full romantic couple and their journey to happily ever after. This book centers around Master Dillon and his recovery so he can go back to his normal self after a traumatic event with a submissive.
I adored this book from start to finish. I wished it was longer but I know there a full novel after this that I need to go pick up.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Hidden Gems
