MY REVIEW

Warning: BLOOD is an intrinsic part of this story and it’s characters. If you are NOT SURE you’re comfortable with blood + sex and bisexuality I would recommend you step with caution into this book.
If you just CAN’T stand the idea, DON’T read this book.

This have been a highly anticipated book for me in January. I can’t get enough of Shara and her Blood. Each story that is published has such amazing plot twists and blows my mind every single time. I can’t stop wanting more and more and more. For me, this story is addictive and if I could, I may live in it just to see things develop in person.

Not only Joely Sue Burkhart does an outstanding job at describing the events but the characters, each an every one, grows and matures over time. I’m a sucker for good character development and this series has one of the best ones I’ve ever seen in years.

We finally get to meet Mayte, the Queen that we have heard whispers about. She’s not mentioned as much as Sky, for example, but she is much more interesting than the wicked witch of the west.

We get to see more intricate scenes between Bloods. They are 3 new knights in Shara’s court and 1 of them is already a big cuddly softy. Let’s not forget the sex is off the freaking charts.

I have to give it to Joely Sue. The way she handled the Queen takes Queen actual part was done flawlessly and with so much hotness that I was melting at the seams. She not only had tact for this things, she can keep track of where everything is in one of those scenes, when you have to read twice to understand the limbs location LOL

The title for the next book is already out in cyberspace: Queen Takes Rook. I’m flabbergasted and confused by it. I can’t wait to see what Joely Sue will do for the next installment.

This book was incredible to read. I would say read it now but you need to read the earlier books to caught up to how things are in the present. That being said, each book can stand on its own and if you don’t mind spoilers just jump right into this one and go backwards. In any case, you won’t regret it.
