My Review
I bought Game Misconduct in 2015 and I have had it on my Kindle ever since, never reading it until Booktubeathon 2018.
One of the reasons, if not the strongest one, for me not reading this book until now is because it revolves around sports. The Sports Romance sub-genre is not one of my favorite or even regular reads. Why? Because I’m not into sports. I get really confused with the sports talk or descriptions of the games.
Leaving that aside, what confused me in this book at the beginning was the names. So much so that I thought the menage was between four men and one woman, when in reality it was three men and one woman… Leaving the first steamy scene aside, of course, *smile* Yeah, confusing me is easy *sheepish smile*
The pace of the story was well marked. The author did one of the best jobs I’ve seen in books so far with this. My brain, however, did not register the time jumps markings as important and gave me the illusion that the book was faster than it really was. I went over the book a second time to notice this and I laughed at myself.
I want to know where did the toys came from. Honestly, it was like the guys were carrying them in their pockets just waiting for the right moment to use them. My example would be the scene with Sloan and Tyler at the truck, before going to the lighthouse.
Getting into the characters I have to admit the development was better in some than others but that’s because the ones that evolved the most were the main characters. I could talk about each of them but I will advise you to read the book instead.
That being said. I have a favorite and one that I want to slap, for the most part of the story. Dominik and Sloan, can you guess which one I love and which one I want to slap? I won’t tell you which is which, but the one I love… I want one night with him, just one because OMG the man made my knees go weak with how amazing he was as a Dom.
As the last point, I would like to say that this book has sexy times inside it. Multiple partners at the same time. I needed a shower after reading the whole thing because WOW. Bianca Sommerland can really write fantastic scenes that had me, personally, all blushed and flustered.
The second book in this series is called Defensive Zone and it’s about Silver, Oriana’s sister… I don’t know how I feel about her so we’ll see what happens when I pick up that book.
About the Author
Tell you about me? Hmm, well there’s not much to say. I love hockey and cars and my kids…not in that order of course! Lol! When I’m not writing—which isn’t often—I’m usually watching a game or a car show while working on promo. Going out with my kids is my only downtime. I get to clear my head and forget everything.
As for when and why I first started writing, I guess I thought I’d get extra cookies if I was quiet for awhile—that’s how young I was. I used to bring my grandmother barely legible pages filled with tales of evil unicorns. She told me then that I would be a famous author.
I hope one day to prove her right.
