My Review

Note: I listened to this on Audible through the Audible Escape subscription.

John signed onto a mail-order bride site after hearing one of his staff mentioning it. He didn’t think something could come out of the whole thing but something wonderful did. After all, when you know you know.

My first Emily Cooper’s audiobook. I had a great time with this clean and sweet romance. I was looking for something more but I have nothing bad to say about it.

The whole story was well crafted. The world was build from the very beginning and the mix of old and new was seamless. Even the main characters stood in place and time, no matter how easy it would be to act more modern.

What confused me, since I’m used to SEAL romances is that this book is advertised as one. None of the main characters was a Navy SEAL so… What gives?

I really enjoyed the tone differences the narrator used for the characters and her southern accent went great with the story. That being said, I had to listen to the book at 1.25 speed because the narration was a little too slow for me.

I would recommend this story for a couple of hours of sweet romance. If you love historical or clean romances the better.
