Synopsis (From Goodreads)

Everything has a place and a purpose. If you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail. Not one thing in my life was left to chance, not one thing was unplanned, except him. Dixon was unruly and spontaneous, making the most rash decisions a welcome anticipation. Whilst I wasted time reading the signs, he lived in an envious daze of excitement creating his own. Now I had to learn how to live without the one thing I always relied on in order to win him back. – Harley

Harley was the love of my life, my first and my only. Some called me whipped, some called me stupid but I called us everything. But Harley left me, she threw me aside as though I was nothing. Just another check on her to-do list. Now she is back and I only have one objective, to ruin her like she so effortlessly ruined me. When the anger finally fades and the lust for something new dies out, I am left with the dreaded realization that she is irreplaceable. I hate her for that. – Dixon

Some say that your first is irreplaceable, that it never dies out. Both back in the town they made their vows – will Harley and Dixon find their way back to the people they once were? Or will the pain of rejection tarnish and kill everything they once had?

Some love stories are worth the fight. Continue reading [Book Review] First Love by L. Harvey

[Book Review] I Am Mercy by Mandi Lynn

I have to say, it was a huge surprise for me to find an email from Mandi Lynn with an ARC of this book when I check my account Wednesday September 9th. To say I was shocked would be the understatement of the year. You’ll see… I have not yet received an ARC like this and when I apply to try for “I Am Mercy”, after the cover release I’ve made, I really wasn’t expecting to get it!

Top that with the fact that I have been following Mandi on Youtube since before Essence, her first novel, was out to the public. You can imagine how lucky I felt. And the day next to that I was drowning myself in “I Am Mercy” until the wee hours of the night until I finished it. That was on September 12th, just so you all know *laughs*

The reason why it took me a little while to post this is because I want it to get the review a little closer to the end of October, considering the book it’s being released thru Amazon on October 30th of 2015. And I know how it feels to read a good review from a book that it’s not yet out there to get your hands on… so…

I can’t wait anymore. So here it is, with all my love to Mandi. And with this words to her, I leave you with the review of “I Am Mercy”: Mandi… You better get me some Garren on your next book!!

[Book Review] Contrive: To Create or Bring About by Jay Hope

Two for the price of one” *laugh a little* Hi everyone. Two reviews in one day? What’s up with that? I just have to put this out there too and the fact that I couldn’t upload last week due to internet breaking down *growls softly because of it*

This is a book that I just couldn’t help myself and bought as soon as I found the author on Instagram. The premise was very good and I needed something military so I went for it after little thought about the price… of course… I don’t always do that.

What finally drove me to it was that Jay Hope posted a picture of the tittle for the 5th installment of this series and I just have to read that when it’s done because I just LOVE bad guys points of view.

As soon as I said that I wanted to read it I just knew I have to get my hands on the complete series, of course. So far just one book but my fingers are itching, so I stay the hell away from Amazon… for now…

[Book Review] Under the Cowboy’s Control by Lynda Chance

For almost 6 days I kept looking and looking at my book TBR (to be read) list and I couldn’t pick a book to read. Even though I have a lot of them that I want to read for reviews, I couldn’t pick one, I was just not in the mood. So instead I went to my phone and look at the audiobooks I had there for a while now and decided to listen to this one.

Finished this book at 1:07 am on Friday 25th of September 2015… And I can not explain to you how good I felt… So for the first time in this blog I will make a review of an audiobook. This audiobook.

[Book Review] Here She Rules by Kat Hollinghead

*Scratch her chin for a few seconds, pondering how to start this review*

Honestly… I didn’t remember this book until I saw it on my Amazon Wish List. It took me a few days to finally purchase the Kindle format of it and I did it because I said to myself “It has 410 pages according to Amazon, it has to be worth it no matter what“… You’ll see… I’m not afraid to admit that sometimes I can be a little special to spend my money, not saying I’m cheap or something but I think too much when it comes to spending money. This book, was worth it, not a doubt in my mind about it.

[Book Review] The Waiting Room by Alysha Kaye

This is one of those readings that I have been putting it off and putting it off again and again… Why? Because I knew I have to read this slow and it was going to make the damn water dam break… And it did!

The way I got this book was by buying it on Kindle way back in February 2015… Why? Because the lovely Alysha Kaye left a comment on one of my first Book Review post, that’s why.

As soon as I read the blurb of the book I was hooked but I also knew that I wanted to make a review for this reading and I was worried that I would read so fast (eat it up) that the review wouldn’t be good enough. So I waited… and waited… and waited… and finally said “Enough it’s enough, damn it! I have to read it, I want to read it since I bought it so… I will read it before the month it’s up” And so, here we are…
