*Scratch her chin for a few seconds, pondering how to start this review*
Honestly… I didn’t remember this book until I saw it on my Amazon Wish List. It took me a few days to finally purchase the Kindle format of it and I did it because I said to myself “It has 410 pages according to Amazon, it has to be worth it no matter what“… You’ll see… I’m not afraid to admit that sometimes I can be a little special to spend my money, not saying I’m cheap or something but I think too much when it comes to spending money. This book, was worth it, not a doubt in my mind about it.

This is one of those readings that I have been putting it off and putting it off again and again… Why? Because I knew I have to read this slow and it was going to make the damn water dam break… And it did!
The way I got this book was by buying it on Kindle way back in February 2015… Why? Because the lovely Alysha Kaye left a comment on one of my first Book Review post, that’s why.
As soon as I read the blurb of the book I was hooked but I also knew that I wanted to make a review for this reading and I was worried that I would read so fast (eat it up) that the review wouldn’t be good enough. So I waited… and waited… and waited… and finally said “Enough it’s enough, damn it! I have to read it, I want to read it since I bought it so… I will read it before the month it’s up” And so, here we are…
Jude and Nina are the epitome of that whole raw, unflinching love thing that most people are jealous of. That is, until Jude dies and wakes up in The Waiting Room, surrounded by other souls who are all waiting to pass over into their next life. But unlike those souls, Jude’s name is never called by the mysterious “receptionist”. He waits, watching Nina out of giant windows. He’s waiting for her. What is this place? How long will he wait? And what will happen when and if Nina does join him? The Waiting Room is a story of not just love, but of faith, predestination, and philosophy, friendship and self-actualization, of waiting. I can’t express much about this book now because if I do, I will just speak about the review before presenting it to you… So before I spill my guts out about it… Here you have it…

When Alex returns home days early and finds MacKensie draped over the spanking bench in his locked dungeon, he’s furious. But her wariness arouses his protective nature and curiosity, so he strikes a deal to keep her close–she’ll act as his submissive in exchange for a place to stay and help finding a job.
He’d planned to use the veterinarian to deter an ex-girlfriend, not replace her, but with MacKensie’s compelling mixture of strength and vulnerability, the little sub slides right into his well-defended heart.

Hello to all of you out there on the other side of the screen *smiles* I hope you are doing good and not trying to kill me for my disappearing act… Which started with me being sick, then with me reading like a crazy person, my trying to write but too many plot bunnies showing distracted me and so on…
But we are not here to talk about all that, we are here because I want to give you my honest opinion/review on a movie I saw a few month ago *smiles again* So here we go…
This movie I saw it by myself and I did enjoy watching it. The truth it’s that I had a blast at the theater even thou I was worried because I tend to laugh at parts when the characters do things I think as funny and not always people around me agree on those moments.
In the theater were 3 couples, I thought married couples because of how they were dressed and the age that they look. Also there were 5 school girls with their school uniforms and I remember that they had to show their ID to get the tickets.
In order to make this more easy for you to read and understand I will be answering questions about the different points I wanted to talk to you about this movie.
WARNING:This most likely have spoilers...You have been warned
Did I like the movie?
I did like, I enjoy it very much. It wasn’t so dark as the book was and being able to finally put a face to Christian that wasn’t Robert Pattinson was even better for me. I hated it when people find out that the base behind the book it was a Twilight fan fiction. I had read the book before that knowledge was out so it wasn’t so much of a problem.
Did the rate bother me?
Only +16 bothers the hell out of me. Why? Because I was 16 once and I know that at that age I didn’t listen to reason or didn’t ask for anyone to talk to me about things I didn’t understand. I form an idea in my head and that was the way it was, no matter what other people said.
This movie may not have explicit sex, but you could see both actors naked, the only parts you didn’t see were their actual sexes. And there’s the part that has BDSM in it! Come on… Teenagers with a movie like this in their hands? It shouldn’t bother me so much since the books are available to anyone obviously but it did.
Teenagers are very impressionable creatures (if you are a teen reading this, do yourself a favor and think about it, you will see it’s true and it’s not a bad thing). The problem for me is that teens get the image on the screen and fantasize about it, want a relationship with a man “like that”, want a “master” and most of them (not all) tend to just jump to conclusion or do things without considering the risk or that other people may take advantage of their lack of knowledge or eagerness and they could get hurt, badly.
Did I like the cast for Christian and Anna?
Yes, but… let me separate this in two so I can speak about both of them.
Dakota it’s a good actress, she did a great job portraying Anastasia but (for my taste) she is just too skinny. If I was Christian I would be scare of breaking her or that her bones poke me during some intimate moments… and I’m not even joking here. She need to get a little bit more meat in her, at least until her ribs don’t look like they may get out from under her skin when she bends.
Jamie… Oh Jamie… What can I say about him? A picture maybe?
– Picture from TrilogiaCincuentaSombras.com
I still don’t know how to explain myself when it comes to him. If only Christian Grey let himself grow a bear… maybe? someday?
Some people didn’t like it when he took the part, and I wasn’t all too happy but after watching a Youtube video from the Author E. Jamie (from around the time when the trailer came out last year) I had to agree with her and look at Jamie with a different set of eyes.
If Ian Somerhalder, Chris Hemsworth, Alexander Skarsgard or other well-known actor took the part of Christian Grey we will not be seeing Christian Grey, instead we will be seeing Damon Salvatore, Thor, Eric Northman, etc; playing kinky with some girl named Anastasia. And most of you out there know that I’m right (well… actually E. Jamie was right when she pointed this out).
The movie did justice to the book?
I have to say, in all honesty that I love the movie more than I liked the books. There *raises her hands up in surrender* I’ve said it.
I did read the three books before knowing they were Twilight fan fiction. I didn’t like the way it was written, but I did like the main story: the broken men, the sweet girl who try to change him for the better and cure him, the erotic love story, the background crazy bitches and assholes, and all LOL
I won’t lie… Knowing that was a fan fiction spoiled a lot of things for me, not all of it but a lot. Also the fact that people gave too much credit to that fact annoyed me a little until I just didn’t care anymore. Also explained the way it was written, since I write and read fan fictions myself, so I know…
Comparing 50 Shades of Grey with Twilight
Ok, this was something that I had to do and I hope you get this because if you do not understand what I’m about to say I don’t know how to explain it better:
50 Shades of Grey IT’S NOT Twilight!
That being said, it’s not fair compare this two movies or series at all. They are two different stories from two different people. Yes, 50 Shades it’s Twilight fan fiction based but it’s not the same thing.
Every author has to have an idea from something or someone: Somebody said something, did something, saw something that spark an idea on the writer’s mind.
Didn’t annoy you that Christian told Anna what to do all the time?
No, it did not. I tell you why… She is portrait as a girl that it’s very naive and innocent. She forgets stuff around him, and if you have read the books you know that if he doesn’t remind her of eating she doesn’t. She just simply don’t register the need to eat until she is starving or something.
Another reason why it didn’t bother me was because, if you look at it from a Master/Submissive relationship or even a normal relationship, the boyfriend it’s concerned with her well-being, her protection, her health, etc. So it’s not such a bad thing as people think it is that he notice things and kind of nudge her to eat or stuff since it’s for her own good.
Anastasia development in the movie
I’m very happy to say that I saw her development during the movie more than in the book. It was very easy to notice how she was transforming from a sweet innocent girl to a very well, put together, don’t take you crap, kind of woman.
An example of her innocent girl at the beginning was that scene when Kate, her roommate, took her sandwich away after telling her she didn’t want one and Anna didn’t say anything to her o even make another one to eat herself (prove that she need the reminder to eat!).
An example of how she grow up was the scene when Anna and Christian discuss the contract. How she took his hand from the small of her back and said “Business meeting” to him and how she, even hot and bother as she was, got up and leave the conference room after it was all done and didn’t have sex with him
The belt scene…
Ok this is a long one so get ready…
This scene was plain stupid coming from both ends. Anna and Christian were mistaken in this scene and even thou I understand a few things and what came out of it… I don’t agree with it.
Anna wanted to know how bad it could be, it was her own words in the movie. Christian asked her more than twice to know if she was really, really sure that she wanted him to hit her like that with the belt (he gave her a choise) and she said yes (notice that she choose this).
People get so upset about this scene and I have to tell you I was upset with both characters, why? Anna for being ridiculous at the end, getting angry because she got exactly what she asked for. I get it that she wasn’t expecting Christian to hit her, but really? He gave her a choise, more than once, and she choose and he did just as he said he would. He didn’t lie to her, he did what he said he was going to do. And she could have stopped him at any given time, she wasn’t gagged, she wasn’t tied down. She wanted to take it all to prove to herself that she could, to not back on her own words and to know Christian in a deeper level. She got what she asked for.
Christian was plain dumb when he agree to that stuff. A good Master knows that when someone asked you something out of anger you just simply do not do what they asked for because their judgement it’s not clear. As a Master you should be able to read your submissive or lover and not hurt the other person. He made a mistake and he paid greatly for it. But I have to say, he didn’t lie to her, he told her what she was going to receive from him at that time, six hits with the belt and he didn’t hold back, if he did, he would have lied to her.
I do not condone what he did or what she did choosing to take the hits. But I do understand it.
My BIG thing about the movie
Please do me a favor and thing about this for a couple of minutes and take a look at how important, how shocking this is…
50 Shades of Grey it’s was a fan fiction and has hit the big screen
Did you get it? A fan fiction… something that some people think writers wast time writing… has hit the big screen…
What will this mean for another’s fan fiction writers? For me it gave me hope… Hope that some day one of my writing could make it out there, maybe not in the big screen, but who knows… Maybe I could start a story as a fan fiction, then the story could evolved out of it and make it hugely in the Best Seller lists…
Have you watched this movie? What did you thought of it? Do you agree or disagree with the things I have written here?
Hello, hello… Here I am again and guess what? I have another book review!
This one though it’s a little different because it was not part of my TBR (To Be Read) list or part of the 2015 Reading Challenge like other books. This was just a book that I wanted to read and once I started I could not put it down.
Just one more thing… This book it’s part of a four book series and I did read all of them already *stick her tongue out like a kid* and this is a series that I will read again and again and again…

Synopsis (From Goodreads)
The first day of Mia’s new life in Grayslake, Georgia is not going as planned. The house her grandfather left her looks ready to crumble, boxes cover every inch of the floor and—oh—there’s a bear cub in her pantry. It gets worse when the cub’s uncle comes by and busts out his fur and claws while on her front porch. Then it gets loads better because suddenly there’s a hot hunk of badge-wearing werebear on her lawn ready to rescue her. Yum. Of course, he has to ruin things by trying to take the cub out of her hands. Ha! The cub is hers… No ifs, ands, or bears about it.
Werebear Ty can’t seem to get the curvaceous, delectable Mia to understand that, even if she is one-quarter werebear, she isn’t keeping the cub. Ty is the Grayslake Itan, the clan’s leader, and the little werebear is going home with him… Unless it isn’t. It’s her smile. If she’d stop smiling and being gorgeous, his inner-bear would support him and Ty would get his way. But the beast wants to make their woman happy, so it’s perfectly content to let her do as she pleases. Then things change. Threats arise, danger comes close, and Ty demands she return to his den. No ifs, ands, or mates about that.
My thoughts on Grayslake #1
I found this book because it was a recommendation on Amazon considering another book that I was just done with that involved werebears. Really people? Werebears?? In my own little mind there was only werewolves but apparently I was wrong LOL.
Mia was a very interesting character to meet but I loved her, specially after she made Parker (a 4 years old little werebear) her own baby and told the werebear leader that the baby was hers and if he wanted to take the cub from her it would be over her decaying body. That was a bold move to make considering Ty was not only the leader of the werebears but also the Sheriff.
The sexy tension between Ty and Mia, the way Parker cling to her like a baby starving for love and how things were getting more and more bloody and complicated made the book great reading. More so when things starting to unfold and let me tell you this, Celia Kyle knows how to come up with stuff that I was NOT expecting as plot twist and turns. She left me, more often than not, with my mouth open because of what was happening and thinking: I did NOT see that coming, damn it!
I won’t give any spoilers, at least no more than I already did, right? *looks to see if she did and sigh* I didn’t… Good. But going back to what I was saying. I would love to share with you some stuff about the books but anything I think to write it’s a little more spoiler than the tought before it so… Nop.
What I can tell you is that this book it’s part of a 4 book series and I already finished all of the books. I could not stop reading, I swear! I’ve never thought that I would be so much in love with bears being shifters but what can I say? I’ll probably ditch a werewolf for a werebear anytime now hahahaha
It’s an erotic romance so don’t get surprise with the stuff that goes in the book and another thing that kept me with this series and this book in particular was that the female character falls for the strong man, yes, but she is strong herself and have a mind of her own *thinks a little* Ok, let me SPOILER ALERT this next thing so I can give you a fun example (if you don’t want spoilers, don’t read this next paragraph!)
[ In one of the chapters, Mia it’s sitting with Ty on a meeting with his brother Van and they were discussing something about Parker’s future while Ty was “distracting” her. Then he asked her if she was ok with what they say and kept distracting her, not letting her think clearly *cofkissingcof* And she stopped him and told him that she was not Ok with whatever they say and I quote: No, stop that. Bad furball. Mind you that Ty it’s the town sheriff and werebear leader and she told him that! ]
Do I recommend this book?
Yes, Yes, Yes!
This was a book that I was not expecting to have such a fun reading, but oh man I did. I was laughing and with a smile on my face most of the time. The story it’s well written, the fight scenes and the romantic scenes are pretty great. And don’t get me started with the “shit of crackers” and the “language” that you will read a lot in this one.
A great love story, paranormal shifters romance. I was not expecting werebears, I did not tought of werebears before, only wolf shifters but now…
Now I have a THING for bears!
“No ifs, ands, or bears about it, his furry butt is staying right here. Possession is nine tenths of the law and all that“
“If you or that man try to take him from me, you’ll get a rear end full of buckshot and I won’t send you a get well card“
“No, stop that. Bad furball“
My rating it’s 4 stars for this book. I wish I could give it a 5 but even though I love this story, it was greatly written, fun to read, with a lot of curve balls and action in a lot of ways… I can’t give it more because I only give 5 stars to stories I die after I’m down with them and want to live in the story myself, so…
I won’t deny that I loved the book, yes, I did. I finished it a day so I can’t complain and I jumped right into the next book of the series after it.
I have to warn you though. It’s not such a light read if you want to keep up with the story, the romance yes, the whole story plot no, it’s not so easy. That said, there is no strange words and if they are (like Itan or Itana) the author explain them through the book so there is no problem at all.
I left this book with a love for werebears even more cemented in my heart 🙂

Synopsis (From Goodreads)
In Pillow Talk by Maya Banks, Zoe is a woman in a committed relationship with her boyfriend Chase. Then one night, Chase reveals his number-one fantasy, which involves his two best buddies. Is Zoe game? She sure is, because it opens the door for a secret fantasy all her own.
In Shayla Black’s Her Fantasy Men, a girly-girl named Kelsey plays football, craves action movies, and loves knocking back a cold beer with her three best friends-all male. Yet she’s never seemed sexually interested in any one of these hot guys. So what does Kelsey want? A fantasy come true for all four of them.
My thoughts on Pillow Talk (Story #1)
I have no words to describe how much I loved this story. I was honestly speechless when I was done with this short erotic romance and the way that I felt it was the thing that shocked me the most.
Leaving aside the fact that it was utterly HOT… I felt like… This girl I could totally relay too in the way that if my life was different and I was in another’s womans body… Like hers for example… This was something that could have happen to me.
A boyfriend open to explore your darkest, kinkiest fantasies with you but that even when he fulfill your crazy ass sex fantasy he is taking care of you, protecting you, making sure everything goes well for you and that you are safe and happy? Damn! I want some of that please!
AND add to the mix two hot best friends that love you like no other could and are willing to work with you boyfriend to be with you too? There is something better than that?!
My thoughts on Her Fantasy Men (Story #2)
This story has a little bit more fantasy in it than the one before but I still enjoy it fully. Also I have to say that the way Shayla Black writes it’s as much erotic as you could hope it to be girls… Oh and the men *big sigh* Holy crap the men…
I mean… Come on… You can’t really have your firefighter neighbor, your cowboy best friend from childhood and your boss all having the hots for you at the same time, can you? And if you ever did, I envy you with every single fiber of my body.
I can see the troubles in having three hot and oh so different men trying to have you all to themself but the fact that the end of this story was like it was… Oh-My-Freaking-God!
Written in a way that was really good, with no mistaking the situations and the reasons behind the action of every character. I have to say that Shayla Black made a great job with this story. Which I will be re-reading… A LOT!
Do I recommend this book?
I was more than excited when I finished this book. I was high with a dose of erotic so good as I have not felt in a long, long time.
If you like a story where you could easily dream yourself into the shoes of the main female character, loved and fucked by three of the most amazingly gorgeous, attentive and great lovers on earth. So you end up having them as your partners for the rest of your life in your dreams. Pick this book up!!
Four stars it’s my rating for this book in general. The two stories where great and this is one for my “Re-Read books list” without a moment of doubt. This two authors are amazing at what they do and I pretty much-loved their work. Maya Banks surprise me with her story and Shayla Black… well… If you like erotic novels, you should have at least heard of her somewhere, right? I sure did 🙂
The premise was reading something about a Southern Author, and when I saw that paper with the writing I just couldn’t shake this book out of my head. I have bought it from Amazon Kindle and I itching to read it. I did little research and BINGO, Kelly Elliott it is, in fact a country girl!
