SYNOPSIS FROM GOODREADS

Lauren is a successful doctor with a healthy attitude toward sex, unashamed of her proclivities as a sexual dominant. She wants love and a family, but she’s beginning to believe there is no Mr. Right willing to stand by her in sickness and health…and be cuffed, stripped and smacked with a riding crop.

Then her friend Lisette invites her to spend a long weekend on a private island. It turns out Lisette can’t come with her, but Lauren opts to go anyway, with no one for company but Joshua, the island caretaker, and his visiting friend Marcus. Though both men are beautiful, it is Joshua who catches Lauren’s attention, and not just because Marcus prefers men.
Something in Josh’s stormy eyes calls to her.

When Marcus facilitates a game of submission and control between the three of them that will last throughout the weekend, Lauren embraces the opportunity. Josh overwhelms her with his willingness to submit to her body’s desires, but her heart wants to get to the secrets behind those eyes. She is going to have to tear down his defenses and make him give her everything. And this is one Mistress who doesn’t take no for an answer…

Synopsis (From Goodreads)

Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable…barely.

To the outside world she is just a loner with an attitude.

When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions-and nothing else.

Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own.

Two broken souls that can’t be healed. They can’t be saved.

Abby & Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another, but within themselves.

If they can accept each other for who they really are, they might be able to learn that love isn’t always found in the light.

Caution: This is not your typical romance. The story of Abby & Jake contains disturbing situations, graphic violence, sex, strong language, drug use, and all types of abuse Continue reading [Book Review] The Dark Light of Day by T.M. Frazier

[Book Review] Here She Rules by Kat Hollinghead

*Scratch her chin for a few seconds, pondering how to start this review*

Honestly… I didn’t remember this book until I saw it on my Amazon Wish List. It took me a few days to finally purchase the Kindle format of it and I did it because I said to myself “It has 410 pages according to Amazon, it has to be worth it no matter what“… You’ll see… I’m not afraid to admit that sometimes I can be a little special to spend my money, not saying I’m cheap or something but I think too much when it comes to spending money. This book, was worth it, not a doubt in my mind about it.
