My Review

“Hide Your Crazy” could not have been a cleverer title for this first book in The Kilgore Motorcycle Patrol series by Lani Lynn Vale. In the beginning, I couldn’t see why she decided to go for that title but as I passed the 50% mark I catch on and I think it was sweet.

Katy is Luke Robert’s daughter and when I saw that it was her book I dropped every pretense of catching up with other Lani Lynn stories and dove right in. She’s a strong woman, with her past mistakes and current life situations, she’s just so relatable that I couldn’t just love her. Besides, did I mentioned she’s Luke’s daughter? The Chief of Police is her dad!

Logan is a good cop that has been mixed in dubious incidence and has a horrible ex-wife, that makes him look like the bad guy when in reality she is the rotten apple.

The way these two characters were brought together was very funny and endearing. I love how candid and hilarious the situation was at the same time.

As much as I love Lani Lynn Vale’s stories there was something different in “Hide your Crazy” that I couldn’t put my finger on until a few days after I finished the book.

I was expecting more tension from the story. Understand that I have read Lani Lynn Vale’s books for a long time and I can always count on the suspense and the climax of the story, in this one I found it different.

Don’t get me wrong, there were the mystery,  the drama, and the problems but, for me personally, it wasn’t enough. I’m explaining it wrong probably but know that I still enjoyed the book and think it’s great.

It Wasn’t Me“, the next book in the series is releasing tomorrow! You can bet I will be reading that Lani Lynn’s book too *wink*
