Title: Worship
Series: Sinful #2
Author: Trilina Pucci
Genre: Dark Romance
Release Date: March 3, 2019
Book Two, in A Sinful Series, brings you an intense, taboo love story, and an even hotter ALPHA. Meet Luca King— broody, powerful and a man who’s never refused.
There are only two reasons a man falls to his knees: prayer and pussy.
And I sure as hell don’t pray.
But for this woman, I’d fall on my knees to worship every single, gorgeous part of her body. And claim her as mine, knowing I shouldn’t want to keep her
Because we’re all wrong, too complicated, too explosive… too sinful.
I want what I can’t have
But I’ll take it anyway because Gretchen Andrews has done the one thing my wife never could… she’s made me love her.
Luca’s hand pulls away from my chin, and he takes my glass, putting it on the table.
“How I see it is you need to stop assuming the worst and trust me to care for you, and the only way for us to do that is to make sure you get what you need, over and over, until you take it for granted.”
He’s talking about more than just sex, even though I love the “over and over” part. I didn’t trust him; I prolonged this moment as much as his stubbornness did. But I did it by way of mistrust, assuming he wouldn’t do what we both needed.
“So, you want to teach me a lesson in trust?”
The desire in my voice gives away my readiness.
He nods.
“I paid a helluva price almost losing you. What price should you pay for not trusting me? Huh?”
The tumbler he’s holding runs up my leg, and I can feel the coolness through my jeans. Luca leans close to my cheek and whispers, “Choose your fate. Do you want to be fucked or loved, Angel?”
I close my eyes, knowing they aren’t mutually exclusive, but for us, they have very specific meanings. He knows I need the connection between us, the aggression and anger we’ve both felt to play about in the sheets.
His breath is warm against my skin as he keeps whispering.
“Maybe we play your favorite game, Angel. I’ll hunt you…here.”
He brings the glass between my legs and runs it up, rolling it over where my clit is throbbing. My breath hitches.
“Do you trust me?” he asks seductively.
He sets his drink down and begins to gather my T-shirt, tugging it up.
I look around, worried about being caught.
“Luca, someone could catch us. The wall is all glass.”
The minute I say it, I know I failed my lesson. Luca doesn’t stop or change expression as he pulls my shirt up and over my head, leaving me exposed in just my bra.
“Take them off, or I will,” he directs in his deep gravel, indicating my jeans.
I’m not a submissive girl. But when he does this, gets sexually dominant, I feel understood. I’m a powerful woman, and I need a man who can handle me, break me, and make me feel devoured. Luca was made for me. He crosses his arms over his chest.
“The longer I wait, the longer you wait to come. Get ’em off,” he growls. Holy hell, I’m wet. Rough Luca is my favorite Luca.
I reach slowly for my button and pull it open, challenging his patience by lowering the zipper only a fraction.
“You know, I’m not wearing underwear,” I lie.
The thought of being fucked out here where someone could catch us makes me nervous, even if I’m supposed to trust him.
“When I pull off these jeans, everyone will see what’s yours…you sure you want to share?” My voice is a purr, and he bites his lip, gripping his bulge.
I know I’ve won. No fucking way is he willing to share me with prying eyes.
Right as I feel victorious, Luca shakes his head and says, “So fucking stubborn,” then grabs me by the waistband of my jeans and jerks me forward.
“Luca!” I yelp and laugh.
He pushes his hand down the front of my jeans, and I gasp, silenced. Grabbing my tiny lace G-string, along with the few hairs I have down below, he tugs me closer, and the sensation makes my pussy slick with need.
My back arches from being pulled forward.
“Little liar,” he whispers knowingly, and I whimper.
Pleasure grips my body as his hold tightens.
“You definitely need a lesson in trust. Maybe I’ll take it out on your ass or maybe in your ass. Here’s the game, baby: I catch you, I pick.”
His hand retreats as he takes a step away from me.
I’m breathless. My entire body is on fire. This man speaks to every filthy fucking piece of me.
“What’s the second choice? What if you don’t catch me?” I ask hungrily.
A slow smile grows on his gorgeous face. Luca takes out his phone from his pocket and presses a button, laughing to himself.
The light that glowed from inside the house begins to fade as heavy black shades roll down, and I hear a click as the door locks. He was never going to let me be seen. But now, I’m on my own.

My first book by Cathleen Ross and I would want to read more of her work just to make sure my first impression is not the only thing I have for the future. Don’t get me wrong, the book was well done and I enjoy reading it but… I think this author has potential at some level.
The characters were interesting, mostly because I loved the premise of the story: my sister for your sister. It sounds kind of simple but it wasn’t I liked that.
My problem with the characters is that I felt the biker act a little crazy at times. It fits with his mean guy kind of look but it did not click with me. At least he admitted he was an a$$hole.
The female protagonist was strong but weak. Nobody is perfect but I liked her the most between them because he was just so close to being too much at times that I just couldn’t side with him.
I have my doubts when it came to the first encounter between them but I don’t feel, deep down, that it wasn’t consensual. It could be seen like that so, I wouldn’t be surprised is someone was offended by that encounter.
My favorite parts where when the President of the MC and his wife were in the scene. OMG, that was just so funny and cute to watch, at least for me.
Writing wise I think the author did a great job. I did not find any grammar errors or anything like that, and the vocabulary was simple enough that it was easy to follow. The flow of the story was good and it wasn’t cut, for me, at any point during the book.
The twist of the sister left me with interest in the next book. I’m very interested in seeing how this works out.
I would recommend this book to those that love biker romances, just a reminder that this is fiction and that some roughing around might ensue.
Disclaimer: I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book provided by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are my own.
There are many ways an aspiring writer can make it into print and I believe every writing credit helps build a career. Be game. Be creative. Be brave.
The first year I joined Romance Writers, a new publisher came to the conference and asked writers for erotic stories for their anthologies. Fired with enthusiasm, although I had never written a sex scene, I sent in my first erotic story Sweet Vengeance. The editor bought it and asked for more, so I sent Astral Ecstasy and the editor bought that too. I don’t know why I had to be good at writing about sex but it’s not something I’m going to complain about, not with so many publishers looking for hot stories.
This unusual success propelled me to write an erotic partial for Black Lace, Virgin Publishing, London, which was then the largest publisher of women’s erotic fiction in the world. They took on three new authors that year and I was one of them. The editor contracted me on a partial and I quickly had to write an eighty thousand word novel full of sex and make it interesting. My book Man Hunt became the best selling erotic book on the Virgin Publishing website in 2006. It is currently selling in England, Australia and America. The more I tell people that they might be offended by the explicit and unusual sex scenes, the faster they go out and buy the book.
I love reading women’s magazines and always fantasized about writing for them. I started by sending in pitches to the magazines I loved but none of them sold, but I didn’t give up. That’s the main lesson a writer has to learn. Never give up.
I’ve found if a writer scratches the surface, people are always doing amazing things that make good stories. I often hear about funny confessional style sex stories from my friends, so I wrote some up and sold them to various magazines. Mind you, I did change details to protect the guilty!
I found that once a writer gets something accepted by an editor it is easier to sell more work.
This success led to editors ringing me and asking would I write stories for products. For example, I was asked to write a story about a new cream that gives women continuous orgasms. Naturally, I rang the manufacturer and asked for a sample. It is important when writing to do ones research. I couldn’t write about a product like that without trying it. Well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I also think it is easier to get published if you are prepared to try to write for the new publishing lines where the editors are actively seeking authors. It helps to go to conferences, meet editors and introduce yourself.
One publishing credit often leads to another, but it is important to get used to rejections to. Learn to get over it and to keep trying. Not everything sells, but for me, there is nothing more exciting than when you get that call from an editor.
Mind you, I haven’t got my hands on that new cream yet.

This is the story of Jessa and Jackson. They got married young and in love, but Jackson’s huge drive to get a better life for him and his wife, along with the lack of good understanding between them, broke them apart.
Jessa went back to their old town and bought the home plantation from under her ex during the divorce. Now Jackson wants to sell it but the man that bought it refuse to listen to reason. So he flew to his old town to talk to the guy and Jessa’s lie was up, but that wasn’t the only thing they discover when they got brought together by destiny.
I believe the Lockhart sisters did a fantastic job with their debut novel. Working as a team in writing doesn’t sound easy but there was no difference, in my opinion, in the writing style. So they did great at mixing their writing together while telling a story.
When I saw what happened with their divorce, which was pre-talked about on the blurb, I was jumping with joy because I love me a good marriage that loves each other get a second chance so they can live happily together.
The plot was interesting and so precious. I do have to say that Jessa annoyed me a little bit with how easy she blamed Jackson for things without looking at herself too. Good thing she noticed and did the right thing later or I would have been really mad.
I would recommend this book to those that love second chance romances.
Disclaimer: I got an ARC copy from the authors. Thanks Lockhart Sisters!
Jasmine and Arielle Lockhart were born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, in a house overflowing with books, art, and poetry scrawled on scraps of paper by the hands of their father and mother. The sisters spent their childhood summers setting crawdad traps and picking peaches from the three-hundred-year-old tree on their family’s plantation. On stormy nights when the power would go out in the Antebellum home, Arielle would distract her younger sister by telling her stories. It never took long before Jasmine’s fear of the dark was forgotten and she was butting in with her own ideas of how the story should go.
In 2017, over mint julep’s on the plantation’s ivy-laden porch, Jasmine and Arielle came up with the crazy idea to co-write a romance novel. A year and many heated debates later, the first book in the Fever series was complete.
When she’s not nagging her sister to add more kissing scenes to their books, Jasmine is a world-traveler, living between New Orleans and Abu Dhabi in the Middle East.
Arielle currently resides on the plantation, where she spends her days writing and convincing Grammy Dee that Annabelle, the housekeeper she hired three years ago, is not the reincarnation of the young woman who hung herself in the peach tree after her fiancé failed to return from war.

The short story collection is a teaser of epic proportions for me. I haven’t read anything by M. Robinson, not that I could remember, and I believe I should remember her books going off the reaction I got from this collection.
The first short story is about the couple from El Diablo. The heat level was at an all-time max and I was left wanting more. Now I need to actually read El Diablo to get to know these characters and get my fix. One thing is for sure: I won’t be looking at candy canes in the same way for the rest of my life. *blushes deeply*
The second story was about Noah and Skyler’s from the Lost Boy. This got almost the same amount of love from me as the first one. Except, nobody can top Alejandro Martinez so far. It sounds like the Lost Boy should be a lot of fun with these two as main characters. I can hardly wait to find out.
The last story is a teaser scene of a future book by the author that will be releasing in Spring 2019 and the scene depicted in those short pages was some very powerful stuff. I can say with honesty that I’m as excited to get this new book as I am to read El Diablo… Well, almost. Lucky for me I have a backlist of books from M. Robinson to catch up on before the release.
As far as recommendations go, this Collection of short scenes in on my top list for teasers and as a way to get to know a new to you author’s writing. It was hands down, one of the best ways to end my reading year. I just hope 2019 gets even better reading-wise.
I almost forgot to mention that I got the book with the KU (Kindle Unlimited) subscription.
