My Review
I’m reading this series all wrong. This is book #11 in The Dalton series by Em Petrova. The great thing is that each book can stand by itself and you can read without worrying about missing something.
Jessamine is a sweet but headstrong cowgirl, and she wants to find out what happened to make the Dalton family split so far away from each other. She didn’t have a better idea than to go to Colorado to visit her cousins during the holiday season. Would she be able to be home for Christmas?
Jake works at Blackburn Ranch, the same place as Jessamine’s sister. When the family worries over a storm that could leave Jess in Colorado during Christmas, he is tasked with getting her home. is tasked with bringing Jessamine back home from the Colorado Dalton’s before Christmas. The problem is that he is attracted to her. Could he be able to keep his hands to himself having her 13 hours on his truck?
What I Liked
The family mystery: why the Dalton family split so far away from each other? We find out some information about it and I love the fact that has nothing to do with hate between family members. That’s all I will say about that.
Both main characters were strong and can stand on their own feet. Individual people coming together and being cute as a couple. I love that in my readings.
I adore holiday romance stories. They are one of my guilty pleasures because they seem much more enchanting when the setting is around such events. I don’t know what it is but they put me in a mushy and happy mood.
What I Didn’t Like
The only thing I would consider a dislike is that I wanted to know more about Bea Dalton and what happened with the big family secret. I won’t be telling what it was. Read the book, it’s worth it.
I would recommend this story to those that love good holiday romance, easy to read and sexy to boot. Also, if you like stories where there are tons of family members that later you want to see in extra books, this is perfect.
