My Review
When I saw that Elle Thorpe had openings for ARC copies of this book, I literally jumped from my bed and applied right away. Let’s face it, for me this book has a great combination: sexy cowboys + relatable characters + romance = great time.
I fell in love with Bowen Barclay as soon as I read the first chapter from his POV (point of view). He’s a bull rider but he’s also a sweetheart, a gentleman, and he melts me right away. There’s nothing wrong with that man… well, maybe one thing but that’s besides the point.
Paisley was also a beautiful character to read about. She’s a single mom who has an asshole for an ex-husband. She has to raise their 2 children alone and with almost no one single iota of help from the man that created them with her, and she has done a hell of a job.
Character development was front and center. I loved to see how the couple grew together and sorted situations that had the potential of being disastrous for them. I loved how Bowen was with Paisley and her kids, how he was there for them and how he protected Paisley when it was necessary, even if she didn’t wanted to be protected or helped.
The plot of the story was interesting. There wasn’t much drama, except for the one created by Brad Pruitt, a character that I despised since the first time he showed up on the page. I didn’t like him and don’t trust him. It turned out I was right, he’s a pain in the ass.
I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a great western romance with cowboys, bull riding, amazing male characters, and strong female ones. Also, the series is complete at the time I’m posting this review so you can go on a binge if you want.

About the Author
Elle Thorpe lives on the sunny east coast of Australia, about an hour out of Sydney. When she’s not writing stories full of kissing and chemistry, she’s a wife, and Mummy to three tiny humans. She’s also an official ball thrower to one slobbery dog named Rollo. Yes, she named a female dog after a male character on Vikings. Don’t judge her. Elle is a complete and utter fangirl at heart, obsessing over The Walking Dead and Outlander to an unhealthy degree. But she wouldn’t change a thing.
