My thoughts on Growling for Mine
WARNING: This have spoilers. You’ve been warned.
Alexa Riley is one of those authors, in my opinion, that have the art of the short story telling mastered, specially if we are talking about insta-love romances, and that in this case is amazing.
Bleu is a bear shifter that lives alone in a wooden cabin near Grayslake. Lola is a woman tired of being her mothers crutch and bank. They find each other after a car crash in a snow storm, and they stay together since then.
What makes this book great? Bleu. Simply put, that bear shifter is the cute’s thing I have ever seen, specially when he gets over protective and doesn’t let Lola walk, even to the bathroom, when she wakes up 2 days after the accident.
I know, I know. It should be annoying but I was in a mood and this was perfect. Sweet, over protective, in love at first sight kind of thing. I really enjoy it but what puts the cherry on top of it all is that belong to the Grayslake series in a way.
Celia Kyle is the original author of the Grayslake series and having Alexa Riley use is as a background for a short story like this one, it was just too good. She really did a great job and I find that this is going to be one of my favourites from Alexa.
The writing was sweet, the pace was nice and the sexy scale was waaaaay high up. The biggest cute moment for me was when she tricked him to let him know she was pregnant, that was just plain adorable.
