My Review

First and foremost I want to wish a Happy Birthday to Twisted Fate. I know I’m a day late for the event but still, I feel compelled to say: I’m glad you were born into this world. I hope you grow to become a huge star.

Now, when I contacted Jessi Elliott for a copy of this book I completely forgot that I already was part of the ARC Team. That aside, I got the book from Jessi herself and I did not read it immediately, which was a huge mistake because… life *smile*

Finally, I picked the book up over the last weekend and I couldn’t put it down. Seriously, I ended up with back pain, red eyes, and a numb arm, all of this because I was reading in bed and until very late at night. Jessi is not to blame… well, I guess if the book hasn’t been as good as it was… I digress.

Tristan. Oh My God, Tristan. He was as annoying as I could have thought the Leader of the Fae could get. At the same time, the guy was not only hot but genuine, so I couldn’t help but fell in love, head over heels even with the annoying parts of his personality.

Aurora was a tough cookie to swallow, not for me though, I love that girl from here to the moon and back. She did not back down, no matter who it was. This little human was able to take what life threw at her and punch back if needed… more like… yeah, read the book and you’ll understand what I mean.

Let me just say, you have to be 18 years old or more to read this book because there was some steamy hotness in here. I won’t elaborate on that, so go pick the book up after reading this review *wink*

The writing had that balanced that I like between dialogue and narration, so much so that I was not sure that was even possible. This is a début novel so… color me impressed.

The character development I saw in Twisted Fate was progressive, with a good pace and didn’t change their personalities. That last one is a plus because I hate personality flip-flops and this book was excellent at working the characters.

When it comes to the plot of the book I have no complaints. It’s a romance and new adult, so I understood the structuring of the book. The right level of tension, mystery, and suspense introduced in various places kept me reading until the wee hours of the next day.

Jessi Elliott did an outstanding job with her début novel Twisted Fate. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. If it’s as good as this one… *fan herself*

Disclaimer: I receive an ARC copy of this book
