My Review
Imagine waking up on an alien planet, naked as the day you were born but with a big difference: you’re hugely pregnant with no recollection of how it happened. Also imagine that two red smoking hot alien twins are fighting, in their own way, to get you attention but only one of them makes you week at the knees.
That was Angie’s life. She woke up on a cold plannet, surrounded by aliens, no way of going home, pregnant, scared and the object of attention of twin warrior aliens.
Vordis and Thrand were gladiators, clones of the same male and slaved to give their master the satisfaction of strong fights in arenas. Now they are both on a cold plannet, free and confused. They always did everything together so when Vordis is paying attention to Angie, Thrand does it too.
I have to admit Thrand got on my nerves faster than a character on his situation usual would. Vordis on the other hand was the perfect main character and mate for Angie.
The story is part of a series but it can be read as a stand alone and it’s a good hook to get you reading more books in this universe. The world is carefully crafted and very consistent in each book I’ve read.
Writing wise I have no complains, even though it was a short book by my standards and I finished it in one fast sitting, I can say anything else but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The other couples are ones that I recognize because I follow the series and I was really happy to see this particular couple come together.
Honestly, I was expecting a MFM story but Ruby did a great job at pulling the brother’s apart so each can have their mate. I can hardly wait for Thrand to have his own book.
I strongly recommend you to pick this book up. You don’t need to read the previous ones or other series because this stands on its own but I can assure you, it won’t be long before you’re reading the rest to get to know beautiful characters.
